Topographic and engineering surveys in Kenya

The ground truth your architect, engineer and county approval need — contours, spot levels, existing structures, services and drainage, tied to a permanent benchmark and delivered in the CAD formats your design team already works in.

What you receive

Contoured topographic plan at the interval your design requires
Spot levels, benchmarks and a full coordinate and level schedule
Existing features: structures, fences, trees, drainage, roads and services
Digital terrain model and, where useful, a drone-derived orthophoto
Setting out of buildings, roads, drainage and levels during construction
As-built survey and volume computation for earthworks and stockpiles

How the work runs

  1. Step 01

    Brief and control

We agree the survey extent, contour interval and datum, then establish permanent control on site.

  2. Step 02

    Capture

Total station, GNSS and — on large or steep sites — drone photogrammetry for complete, safe coverage.

  3. Step 03

    Processing

Adjustment, surface modelling and drafting into a clean CAD plan with contours and feature layers.

  4. Step 04

    Delivery

DWG, DXF, PDF and GIS files, plus site support for setting out and as-built verification.

Frequently asked questions

What is a topographic survey used for?
It records the shape of the ground and everything on it — levels, contours, slopes, drainage, trees, structures and services. Architects, engineers and county approval bodies need it before any design or construction permit.
What contour interval do you deliver?
Usually 0.25 m or 0.5 m for building plots and 1 m for larger sites, but we set the interval to the design requirement and confirm it in the quote.
In what format do I get the results?
AutoCAD DWG and DXF, PDF plots, a point cloud or digital terrain model where required, plus the coordinate and level schedule tied to a permanent benchmark on site.
Do you do setting out for construction?
Yes. We set out building corners, foundations, roads, drainage lines and levels from the approved drawings, and provide as-built surveys on completion.
Can you survey difficult or steep terrain?
Yes. On steep, vegetated or large sites we combine ground survey with drone photogrammetry to get full coverage safely and quickly.
